Mindware, a leading value-added distributor (VAD) in the Middle East and Africa, has announced the official launch of its Mindware East Africa operations. The expansion was marked by a high-energy event held in Nairobi on 27th May 2025.

The company revealed that the Nairobi office is now fully operational. It will serve as Mindware’s strategic hub for East Africa, covering Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Ethiopia.

The event brought together over 200 attendees. These included channel partners, industry leaders, and top vendor representatives. It underscored Mindware’s commitment to supporting East Africa’s digital future.

Spiros Rafailovits, Territory Manager, East Africa at Mindware, stated, “This launch is not just about opening doors, it’s about opening possibilities. We are here to co-create the future of technology in East Africa by investing in people, forging trusted partnerships, and delivering cutting-edge solutions that accelerate growth across the region.”

Earlier this year, the company reported bold strides in its East Africa expansion plan. This includes:

  • Doubling its local workforce
  • Onboarding regional vendors
  • Hosting partner enablement sessions in key markets

The event featured keynote speeches, panel discussions, and networking opportunities. These allowed stakeholders to engage with Mindware’s expanded portfolio and strategic roadmap.

In addition, Mindware revealed new technical and sales enablement programs. It is also collaborating with vendors to deliver certification courses tailored to local market needs.

New partnerships have already been signed with regional ICT providers. The company announced it will reveal several more vendor collaborations in the coming weeks. These will enhance its portfolio in cloud, cybersecurity, networking, and enterprise technologies.

Local partners praised the move. Cornelious Anjichi, CFO at Down to Earth Technologies, said Mindware’s presence brings new professionalism and opportunities to Kenya’s IT channel.

Peris Kabora, Supply Chain and Administration Manager at Sybyl Kenya Ltd., reported that the local setup offers faster support, better technology access, and a stronger partnership model.

Mindware’s expansion marks a significant milestone in its regional growth journey and positions it as a key digital enabler in East Africa.
